SYMPTOMSWhen a Microsoft SNA Server computer is configured to use a Channel adapter and the APPC management verb DISPLAY is programmatically issued with any of the following member attributes enabled, unexpected results may occur when the verb completes: Lu_0_3_infoFor example, if you follow the steps outlined in the following Knowledge Base articles to build an application to monitor or retrieve status information, the application may fail to produce the expected results if the SNA Server computer is configured to use a Channel adapter. Q214572 How To Retrieve Link Information For SNA Server ProgrammaticallyQ214629 How To Retrieve 3270 LU Information For SNA Server Programmatically CAUSEThe APPC management verb DISPLAY returns a DLC type string as part of the overlay information for LU_0_3_info, link_info, gw_info and link_def_info. The DLC types currently supported are IBMTRNET, SDLC, DFT and X25DLC; any other DLC types cause an exception to occur. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft SNA Server version 4.0 service pack
