BUG# 10063 (4.2) SYMPTOMS
When attempting to specify a string of binary data as a parameter in an
remote stored procedure (RPC) execution, you may encounter error 10036:
CAUSEThe function SqlRpcParam will reject attempts to specify a binary parameter if the first byte of the string used as the remote stored procedure parameter is zero. WORKAROUNDConvert the desired binary value to a character string and execute the stored procedure using SqlCmd%() and SqlExec%(). STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in DB-Library version 4.20.00.
