BUG# NT: 848 (4.20) SYMPTOMS
In some situations a database administrator may create a user ID whose
specific purpose is to perform database and transaction log dumps.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 4.2 and 4.21a. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. When the user "dumptest" logs into SQL Server, the default database is master and the database context is master for the user. If the user issues the following command:
the result will be Msg. 262:
However, if the database context is changed to the database to be dumped:
