BUG# 10198 (4.2) SYMPTOMS
If a system has any databases in single user mode, logins cannot be dropped
using the SQL Administrator systems logins window.
This happens even if the login is not associated with any user id's in the single user database, and even if no other users are connected to the server. WORKAROUNDDrop the login from the query window using sp_droplogin. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Administrator version 4.2 for Windows and Windows NT.
