BUG# NT: 11131 (6.00) SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0, character mode BCP into a table with nullable char or varchar columns may insert more characters into the column than the column definition allows. WORKAROUNDMake sure the data is not wider than the column definition, or you can use the 4.2 version of BCP and DB-Library. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0. An example of the problem is a table defined with a char(1) column
and an int column, and then data of the format:
Selecting from the table after the BCP IN retrieves all four characters from the char(1) column. Additional query words: sql6 windows nt
