SYMPTOMSIf a complex query does a self-join and has four or more subqueries, all referencing the same table, it may get a thread-level access violation (AV) if the table has only a non-clustered index. WORKAROUNDConvert the non-clustered index to a clustered index, or drop it. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.50.201.
