An attempt to run the "sp_spaceused syslogs,@updateusage=true" (without
quotation marks) command from command line isql within a database that has
not been set to single-user mode fails as follows:
SQL Server 6.0 or 6.5 in Windows NT 3.51The following error message appears:

SQL Server 6.5 in Windows NT 4.0The error message mentioned above (Msg 2595) does not appear; however, the calling process stops responding (hangs) and must be terminated.Some GUI ApplicationsThe command runs to completion from a graphical user interface (GUI) application and returns a result set after the error mentioned above (Msg 2595) appears.WORKAROUNDSet the database to single-user mode before you run the command. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server versions 6.0 and 6.5.
