BUG #: 15638 (6.0) SYMPTOMS
When you perform either a database or a transaction log dump of a SQL
Server 6.0 database using the SQL Enterprise Manager (SEM) that was
supplied with SQL Server 6.5, the dump may fail, yet display a message that
indicates the dump was successful. This message appears immediately after
you run the dump command.
The SQL Server 6.5 version of SEM specifies both the VERSION and STATS keywords when issuing a dump, whereas the 6.0 version does not. If the dump command is issued from a computer running SQL Server 6.0, that computer fails to process the command or report any errors, thereby causing SEM to immediately report that the dump has completed. WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, do either of the following:
