SUMMARYThis article lists the different products and product packages that include the SQL Server product. MORE INFORMATION
The Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack will install an evaluation copy (120-day trial) of SQL Server 6.5 Service Pack 3 only if a Microsoft Message Queue Server (MSMQ) Primary Site Controller (PSC) is installed. In addition, you can run setup from the MSSql directory on the Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack CD to install the evaluation copy manually. The SQL Server that comes in the MSMQ directory of the Windows NT Server 4.0 Enterprise Edition CD is a modified version of SQL Server 6.5 Service Pack 3. It is a "limited" version, in that it can only be used with Microsoft Message Queue Server (MSMQ). However, if you issue a "select @@version" statement, it shows the same build as the full version of SQL Server 6.5 Service Pack 3. For additional information about the limitations of SQL Server Small Business Version, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: Q179856 INF: SQL Small Business: Licensing, Connections, LimitationsBoth SQL Workstation and SQL Server Developer Edition are used when referring to the limited user-connection SQL Server package.
