If you precede a column name with the table alias in the FOR UPDATE clause
of a cursor, cursor declaration will fail with the following error:

WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, either remove the alias or prefix the column name with the table name. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 6.5. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
