SYMPTOMS
After a database restore, updating a cursor on a view that performs a cross-
database SELECT may cause a handled access violation. This can occur with
all cursor types.
WORKAROUNDDrop and recreate the view, including any dependent objects. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. Additional query words: prodsql
