BUG #: 18719 (SQLBUG_65) SYMPTOMSWhen running the SQL Server 6.5 Service Pack 5 Setup.exe from a directory that contains a double-byte character set (DBCS) character in the directory name, the following error occurs during the installation of Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC):
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, remove any DBCS character from the name of the directory that contains the SQL Server 6.5 Service Pack 5 Setup.exe file and run the service pack setup program again.
