SUMMARYNeither SQL Server 4.2 for OS/2 nor server applications built on Open Data Services (ODS) 4.2 for OS/2 make use of PDBLIB.DLL or DBNMPP.DLL. These DLLs are used only by DB-Library (DB-Lib) clients. Both SQL Server for OS/2 and ODS 4.2 for OS/2 make direct use of native OS/2 named pipes for all communication with client applications and for submission of Remote Procedure Calls to other SQL Servers or ODS servers. MORE INFORMATIONServer applications built with ODS may make use of DB-Library calls, in which case, it is acting as a DB-Library client and will use PDBLIB.DLL and either DBNMPP.DLL or an alternate Network Library (Net-Library) specified in the [SQLSERVER] section of the OS2.INI file.
