SYMPTOMS
After installing a LAN Manager 2.2b MS-DOS enhanced workstation, all
attempts to print to a network printer by means of TCP/IP from either
MS-DOS or Windows 3.1 crash the machine.
CAUSEAn optimization in TCP/IP causes a send to return to the caller, Messenger, too quickly during the receipt of print job notification. RESOLUTIONTCPTSR.EXE has been modified to address this problem. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft LAN Manager version 2.2b. The problem is fixed in CSD00.087.
