SUMMARY
This article describes how to configure a Microsoft LAN Manager client
on an IBM OS/2 2.x workstation. IBM OS/2 2.x workstations support only
OS/2 clients (not MS-DOS).
a:setupThe Microsoft LAN Manager setup program copies the necessary LAN Manager files and prompts you for disks as they are required. NOTE: If you are installing LAN Manager client software on an IBM OS/2 2.1.1 system, see KB article Q114722: Sys1719 Error After Upgrading to IBM OS/2 2.1.1. Once the client software has been installed and the workstation rebooted, the OS/2 redirector (NETWKSTA.SYS) is automatically loaded during boot up. The STARTUP.CMD file contains the necessary net logon commands to the server and it prompts you for your password. Additional query words: OS221
