Microsoft LAN Manager, version 2.2
SUMMARY
This article explains how to monitor the HPREDIR process from a Microsoft
OS/2 1.3 window.
MORE INFORMATION
To see HPREDIR output, add this command:
START C:\HPNETPRN\HPREDIR.EXE
to the STARTUP.CMD file and REM out the command
RUN C:\HPNETPRN\HPREDIR.EXE
in the CONFIG.SYS file. The HPREDIR output is not documented by HP, but
you can identify printer errors in it. If there is a complete failure
on a printer, the event is recorded in the C:\HPNETPRN\HPREDIR.LOG file,
which you can view from the HP JetDirect setup utility. Error codes are
documented in the "Hewlett Packard JetDirect Administrator's Guide."
