Trap 000C and 000D on Server w/ NetFlex NIC Using TCP/IP Tools

SUMMARY

When you use TCP/IP connectivity tools, such as Telnet, FTP, or PING, from a Windows NT computer to a LAN Manager 2.2b server using a Compaq NetFlex network interface card (NIC), the following trap error messages appear on the LAN Manager server:

TRAP 000D

CS=0E00 or CS=1D70
IP=14D4
CSLIM=98E0

TRAP 000C

CS=01F8 or CS=08F8
IP=002B
CSLIM=99D2


CAUSE

This problem occurs if the LAN Manager server is using an outdated Compaq NetFlex NIC driver.


RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, obtain the Compaq file, SP0944.ZIP, (includes NETFLEX.OS2) from one of the following Compaq locations:

  • Compaq BBS at (713) 378-1418


  • GO CPQFORUM on CompuServe


  • Anonymous FTP to ftp.compaq.com


  • Latest Compaq QuickFind CD-ROM disc (under SoftPaqs)


  • Internet World Wide Web server: www.compaq.com
