SUMMARY
On a machine where drive C is formatted for a FAT file system and
drive D is formatted for an HPFS, if you try to install OS/2 LAN
Manager into the D:\LANMAN.RC2D directory, the Setup program attempts
to do this even though it is not possible.
When you reboot the system, OS/2 hangs because C:\LANMAN.RC2D is first on the path. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in OS/2 LAN Manager versions 2.0, 2.1, 2.1a, and 2.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. Additional query words: hpfs386 hpfs
