SYMPTOMS
The sample code below produces the following internal compiler errors
under MS-DOS and OS/2:
- With FORTRAN 5.0
fatal error F1001: Internal Compiler Error
(compiler file '@(#)ctypes.c:1.11', line 448)
- With FORTRAN 5.1
fatal error F1001: Internal Compiler Error
(compiler file '@(#)ctypes.c:1.12', line 448)
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the products listed above. This
problem was corrected in FORTRAN PowerStation, version 1.0.

C Comment out the following line and the code compiles
a1 = a3
C Add a line such as the following and the code compiles
C write(*,*) a1.x1
C Place a label (e.g. 123) at the beginning of the following line or
C change the a3 to a1 and the code compiles
