SYMPTOMSDuring installation of NetWare connectivity, you cannot find a file server, even after loading the correct versions of IPX/NETX and following the NetWare installation procedure correctly. CAUSEThis failure sometimes indicates that the system in question is running Ethernet 802.2 (Ethernet 2 type) on the server. LAN Manager defaults to 802.3 Ethernet packets, and NetWare connectivity cannot find the file server. RESOLUTIONUse the Econfig utility from the Novell diagnostics disk to change the IPX packet format on the workstation to 802.2 type. You should then be able to find and attach to the file server.
