SYMPTOMS
If you change the Maximum Characters Allowed setting in the Format tab of
the Rich Entry Field to 0, user input will not be limited to none. What
actually happens is that you can enter as many characters as you want in
that Rich Entry Field. The Maximum Characters Allowed setting does not seem
to effect data entry when it has a value of zero. If the value of the
maximum allowed characters is set to anything other than zero, it works
correctly. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Exchange version 4.0 Windows 3.x, Windows 95, and Windows NT clients. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
