SYMPTOMS
On a computer that is running Windows 3.1 and LAN Manager for MS-DOS
version 2.2c with TCP/IP, after you perform a "Typical" installation of
CompuServe WinCIM 2.0.1, when you start the Microsoft Exchange client, the
CompuServe Dialer will attempt to connect to CompuServe.
CAUSEThe Microsoft Exchange client loads the version of Winsock.dll that is provided by WinCIM. For additional information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: Q152344 XCLN: Winsock Application Starts When Exchange Client Starts WORKAROUNDThere are two workarounds.
