SYMPTOMS
Microsoft Exchange Directory Synchronization (DXA) will not allow X.400
addresses to be imported if part of the address contains X121=. Note that
X121 does not have a period between the X and the 1.
CAUSEThe X400 gateway will only support X.121 address using the syntax of X121= with no period between the X and the 1. When you attempt to DirSync such addresses to Microsoft Exchange, they will fail because Microsoft Exchange requires the period. This conforms to X400 standards. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 4.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Exchange Service Pack.
