XCLN: Large Icon Labels can Cause Access Violation

SYMPTOMS

An attached object that has an embedded icon with a title longer than 260 characters might cause an Access Violation in the Microsoft Exchange client.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Exchange clients, version 4.0, listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Exchange Server 4.0 U.S. Service Pack 4.
