XCLN: Admin Mode Setup Suggests Exchange as Default Directory

The information in this article applies to:

Microsoft Outlook Windows 3.1x, Exchange Server Edition, version 8.0

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Microsoft Outlook client using Setup/A (admin mode), the installation program suggests c:\exchange as the default directory, even though the assumed default should be c:\outlook. There is no option available for specifying an alternate directory.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the above listed version. New information will be posted here in the Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
