SYMPTOMSWhen you telnet to the Exchange Server computer on port 110 (as a POP3 user), you may receive the following error message:
CAUSEThis error occurs when the Exchange Server service account does not have Act as a part of the Operating System right. WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, add the advanced right "Act as a part of the
Operating System" to the Exchange Server service account by performing the
following steps:
MORE INFORMATIONThis error will be displayed after the PASS command has been given in the telnet session. Sample session follows:
