SYMPTOMS
When you send messages using a Personal Distribution List to an invalid
recipient on a remote site, you receive a non-delivery report (NDR) showing
the intended recipient's X.500 Distinguished Name (DN) ID instead of
the X.400 address.
CAUSE
The function call, EcDeliverReport, no longer returns the
MH_T_DIRECTORY_NAME attribute to the Exchange Server information store
after the application of Exchange Server 5.0 Service Pack 2 or Exchange
Server 5.5 Service Pack 1.
RESOLUTIONExchange Server 5.0A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next that contains this fix.To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the fix.
