SUMMARY
A user may decide not to participate in publishing the free and busy times of their calendar.
To stop publishing calendar free and busy information to Microsoft Exchange Server, perform the following steps:
- On the Tools menu, click Options, click Calendar Options, and then click Free/Busy Options.
- In the "Publish <2> month(s) of Calendar free/busy information on the server" box, type a 0 (zero) so that no information is published to the server.
- By default, the Update free/busy information on the server is set to every 15 minutes. This can be left at 15 minutes. When 15 minutes elapses, 0 months of information will be published to the server, which will cause your free and busy time to be viewed as free or blank.
- Click OK three times to return to Outlook.

If you are using Outlook 97 and want to stop publishing calendar free and busy information, perform the following steps:

On the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Calendar tab, and then click the Advanced Scheduling button.

In the Settings for Free Busy Information section, type a 0 (zero) in the "Publish <2> month(s) of Calendar free/busy information on the server" box.
