SUMMARY

The Mailbox Converter for Lotus Notes and Exchange Server allows Notes mail users to convert their existing Notes mail database, folders, and messages to Exchange Server.

The Mailbox Converter is a program used to convert folders and electronic mail messages from Lotus Notes mail database to Exchange Server mailboxes directly from users' desktops.

The Mailbox Converter administrator runs the Setup program. The administrator may then perform the mailbox conversions or may provide end-users with the Mailbox Converter program and documentation so that they can perform the conversions.

The Mailbox Converter is a DATA migration program. Only data, such as folders and messages, are converted by the Mailbox Converter.

Hardware Requirements

The required minimum system is an 80386 25-MHz with 16 MB of RAM. A Pentium processor with 32 MB of RAM is recommended.

Software Requirements

The Setup program can be run on any Windows NT 3.51 or later workstation. After successfully running the Setup program, the Mailbox Converter can be distributed to end-users running Windows 3.1 or later, Windows NT 3.51 or later, or Windows 95/98.

You need to install the following software on the client workstation before running the Mailbox Converter.
  • Lotus Notes Client Release 3.0 or later
  • 32-Bit Microsoft Exchange Client Version 4.0 or later

Storage Requirements

To store the Mailbox Converter programs, you need a minimum of 7 MB of disk space and additional space for mail folders, forms, and messages.
