XCLN: Files and Registry Keys Added with a Transform Are Not Applied After Setup

SYMPTOMS

Additional files and registry entries created and saved to custom transform (MST) files for Office 2000 or Outlook 2000 Setup do not get copied or entered after Setup is run with the specified custom MST file.

CAUSE

The Setup command line being used may contain incorrect syntax.

RESOLUTION

Correct syntax is similar to the following:

c:\setup.exe transforms="c:\mstfilename.mst" /qn+

If the syntax includes "transform" instead of "transforms" without the ending "s", Setup does not add any customizations contained in the transform file.
