SYMPTOMSSometimes in an Outlook Task, when you select a Reminder date and time before selecting a Due date or a Start date, the Reminder Date and Time fields become garbled after you select a Due date, Start date, or enter Recurrence information. The Reminder date and time fields are changed to something similar to the following: 252/[]//34 in the Date field CAUSEThe Outlook 98 Reminder is not configured to be automatically turned on for new tasks. WORKAROUNDOn the Tools menu, click Options, click Other, click Advanced Options, and click to select the Set Reminders on Tasks with Due Dates check box. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98. MORE INFORMATIONWhen you select the "Set Reminders on Tasks with Due Dates" option, you enable Outlook to automatically set a reminder for a task that has a due date. The reminder appears on the due date at the time you set in the Reminder Time box. You can change the reminder date and time in the Task Item window. Additional query words: corrupt, corrupt reminder
