SYMPTOMSWhen a user opens an e-mail message that contains embedded Lotus Notes document links on a computer where the Lotus Notes client is not installed, the following error message appears: After the users clicks the OK button, the message is not displayed. CAUSEWhen Outlook attempts to locate the OLE server for the embedded documents, it can't find it because the OLE server is not registered. This error causes Outlook to be unable to open the message. WORKAROUNDInstall the Lotus Notes client on the same computer to register the OLE server. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems

STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATIONAfter you install the hotfix, the error message will still be displayed, but when the user clicks the OK button, the e-mail message body is displayed as best as possible. Outlook does not suppress an error message like this so that the user is aware that the content of the message may not all be there. Additional query words:
