XWEB: "Delivery Restriction" Is Ignored When Forwarding or Replying to a Message Via OWA

SYMPTOMS

When mail that has been delivered over an X.400 Connector is forwarded or replied to by means of Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA), mail delivery restrictions specified in the Reject messages from list on the mailbox Delivery Restrictions tab is ignored.

When you forward or reply to the same message using a Microsoft Outlook client, a proper non-delivery report (NDR) is generated.

RESOLUTION

This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 3.
