SYMPTOMSIf you send a message to a distribution list (DL) through the Internet Mail Service on an Exchange Server computer that is configured to send content formatted in Transport-Neutral Encapsulation Format (TNEF), you may receive a non-delivery report (NDR) similar to the following:
where recipient is the display name of the DL, rather than the individual recipient that is not recognized.
RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5 service pack
