BUG: Five Label Layouts Have Incorrect FormatID: Q130958 The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSFive out of the eighty-six label layouts provided with ADDLABEL.APP display incorrect information when the label is created with the CREATE LABEL command. The five that don't work correctly are: 5199-S, 5896, Tab1 107.49, Tab2 107.23, and Tab2 107.36. Here are the details:
CAUSEWhen the CREATE LABEL command is issued, label layouts are derived from definitions stored in the LABELS.DBF table. The records for these five layouts store incorrect information.
RESOLUTIONIf you need to use these formats, you can use the ADDLABEL.APP application to create customized label formats and store them in the resource file (FOXUSER).
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
