SYMPTOMSIn the Remote View Wizard, after selecting Microsoft Excel as your data source and subsequently choosing a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, you receive this error message:
WORKAROUNDTo create a remote view to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, use the New View option instead of the Wizard.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem has been fixed in Visual FoxPro 5.0 for Windows.
MORE INFORMATIONBefore attempting the following steps, you must first have a Microosft Excel 5.0 driver data source created and available. If you are missing this data source, use the ODBC Administrator to create a new one. You must also have a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet available for testing.
