SYMPTOMSThe error "Window <window name> has not been defined" occurs when the SHOW WINDOW <window name> REFRESH command is used to REFRESH a Browse window. CAUSEThe window is being referenced by the incorrect name. RESOLUTIONThere are two ways to refresh a Browse window with the SHOW WINDOW <window name> REFRESH command. The first way is to use the TITLE name defined by the BROWSE command:
If the Browse window was not defined with a TITLE, you can use the
name of the database being browsed as the window name:
It does not matter how the BROWSE command was issued (whether in the
BROWSE, BROWSE WINDOW, or BROWSE IN WINDOW commands) or if the
window's title is the one that appears on the screen.
