SYMPTOMS
If you use a PC Card to connect a Handheld PC (H/PC) to a desktop

CAUSE
This behavior can occur for any of the following reasons:
- The H/PC does not have a unique computer name on the LAN.
- Windows CE does not support the PC Card.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, follow these steps. Test to see if the behavior
still occurs after each step.
- Check the name of the H/PC to make sure it has a unique computer name on
the network. To do so, follow these steps:
- Tap Start, tap Settings, and then tap Control Panel.
- Double-tap Communications.
- In the Device Name box, type a unique computer name for the H/PC.
- Verify that Windows CE supports the PC Card you are using. To view a
list of PC Cards supported by Windows CE, please see the following

then tap Remote Networking.
- Double-tap Make New Connection, type a name for the connection, tap
