To configure Microsoft Windows CE Services to send e-mail messages from an H/PC or P/PC using a desktop computer, use one of the following methods:

Send E-mail Messages Automatically

To configure Windows CE Services to send e-mail messages automatically, follow these steps:
  1. On the desktop computer, click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Windows CE Services, and then click Mobile Devices.


  2. On the Tools menu, click ActiveSync Options.


  3. Double-click Message, click the "Automatically send all messages in Outbox using these services..." check box to select it, and then click the Windows CE Inbox Services check box to select it.


  4. Click OK, click OK, and then close the Mobile Devices window.


NOTE: E-mail messages are sent automatically when you connect to your e-mail provider.

Send E-mail Messages Manually

To send e-mail messages manually, follow these steps:
  1. In Microsoft Outlook 97 or Microsoft Exchange, click Windows CE Inbox Transfer on the Tools menu.


  2. Click the "Send Outbox messages for this service" check box to select it.


  3. Click Windows CE Inbox Services, and then click Transfer.


NOTE: E-mail messages are sent when you connect to your e-mail provider.
