Different Language Characters in Microsoft Pocket PowerPoint

• Microsoft Pocket PowerPoint, version 1.0
• Microsoft Windows CE Services versions 2.0, 2.1
• Microsoft Windows CE version 2.0 for the Handheld PC

SYMPTOMS

You may see different language characters in Microsoft Pocket PowerPoint.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you install different language versions of Pocket PowerPoint on different Handheld PCs (H/PCs) from the same desktop computer. Pocket PowerPoint Setup does not replace all of the files from the previous installation.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, uninstall Pocket PowerPoint before you attempt to install a different language version of Pocket PowerPoint. To do so, follow these steps:

1. On the desktop computer, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.



2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.



3. Click "Microsoft Pocket PowerPoint 1.0 for Windows CE (Remove only)", and then click Add/Remove.



4. Follow the instructions on the screen.



5. Install the Pocket PowerPoint language version that you want.
