SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install Microsoft Windows CE Services on a desktop computer running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, you may receive the following error message:

_ins0432._mp.exe - access violation (0xC000005), ADDRESS 0x1000A383.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Quarterdeck CleanSweep is installed on your desktop computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove Quarterdeck CleanSweep according to the manufacturer's instructions, and then install Windows CE Services.
