SUMMARY

This article lists some of the known issues in Microsoft Pocket PowerPoint.

MORE INFORMATION

You may experience one or more of the following issues when you use Pocket PowerPoint on a Handheld PC (H/PC).

  • Pocket PowerPoint requires a large amount of memory when you use graphics in a presentation.

  • To improve performance, Pocket PowerPoint caches slides when you navigate forward or backward in a presentation. Microsoft recommends you take 5-10 seconds to view each slide to allow Pocket PowerPoint to cache the next slide.

  • To use an external monitor, your Handheld PC (H/PC) must have a Video Graphics Adapter (VGA) port or a compatible VGA PC Card.

  • You cannot use a font size larger than 64 point on a title slide.

  • Some fonts and font sizes do not scale correctly.

  • When you convert a Microsoft PowerPoint file that uses a font that is not installed on your H/PC, you may experience text wrapping and layout issues.

  • You may receive error messages if one or more of the text and graphics conversion filters used by Windows CE are not installed. These filters are installed by Microsoft Office Setup.

  • After you convert a PowerPoint file to a Pocket PowerPoint file, some temporary files may remain in the Temp folder.

  • Microsoft recommends you set the value for line spacing to 1 and the value for paragraph spacing to 0.

  • Pocket PowerPoint uses the background for the title slide as the background for all slides in a presentation. If you use a custom background for an individual slide in PowerPoint, you cannot convert the slide to Pocket PowerPoint.

  • Pocket PowerPoint may not properly display animations or gradient fills in a presentation.

  • Before you create a title slide, you need to configure Pocket PowerPoint to use an available output device.
