Cannot Play Wave Audio Files Created on Palm-size PC

SYMPTOMS

If you record a wave audio (.wav) file on a Palm-size PC (P/PC), you may be unable to play the file on a desktop computer.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Mobile Voice CODEC is not installed on the desktop computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the latest version of Windows CE Services on the desktop computer. Windows CE Services version 2.1 is available from the following Microsoft Web site:
