ID: Q216456

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Windows CE version 2.0 for the Palm-size PC
  • Microsoft Windows CE version 2.0 for the Handheld PC

SYMPTOMS

You may experience any of the following symptoms:

  • When you synchronize your appointments or tasks and your mobile device's home city is set to Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, or Sydney Australia, there may be a one hour difference from your desktop PC and your mobile device during the month of March.

  • Canaberra, Australia is not listed as a city in the World Clock tool in Control Panel on the mobile device.

  • Brisbane, Australia shows the wrong GMT.

CAUSE

The transition out of daylight savings time on the mobile device occurs on the first Sunday of March. In the Australian cities of Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, and Sydney, daylight savings time ends on the last Sunday of March. This is recorded incorrectly on the mobile device.
