SYMPTOMS

When you play Mech Warrior 2 version 1.0 for MS-DOS by ActiVision in Windows 95, you may experience any of the following symptoms:

The SideWinder 3D Pro is not detected properly.

You cannot calibrate the SideWinder 3D Pro.

The game may stop responding while you are playing.

The game may stop responding when you quit.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods:

Obtain the Mech Warrior 2 Version 1.1 for Windows 95 Update

Run Mech Warrior 2 in MS-DOS Mode

To run Mech Warrior 2 in MS-DOS mode, either restart your computer in MS-DOS mode and then run Mech Warrior 2, or modify the Mech Warrior 2 shortcut to start the program in MS-DOS mode.
