As you install the SideWinder game pad software, you may receive the following error message:

Setup can't continue. Please close both the Control Panel and the Gaming Device Profiler, then restart Setup.

This error message can occur if the Joystick tool in Control Panel is open when you run Setup for the SideWinder game pad software.

Close the Joystick tool, and then run Setup again.
