Cutting Last Remaining Game Profile Removes Game Listing

SYMPTOMS

If you cut the last remaining profile listed under a game in the Microsoft Game Device Profiler tool included with Microsoft SideWinder game pad, the game is removed from the Game Device Profiler list and you cannot paste the profile back into the list.

CAUSE

When you cut the last profile for a game, the game is deleted from the Game Device Profiler database file (Profiles.gdp). Because a game exists in the database only if a profile for the game exists, you cannot paste the profile back into Game Device Profiler.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the Microsoft SideWinder Gaming Devices software version 1.5. This behavior does not occur with the Game Device Profiler included with the SideWinder Gaming Devices software version 1.5.
