The Microsoft SideWinder Game Controllers Software version 3.02 includes all updates from previous versions of the SideWinder software.

The Microsoft SideWinder Game Controllers Software version 3.02 adds support for:

The Microsoft SideWinder Standard as a 2-axis, 2-button joystick.
The Microsoft SideWinder Precision Pro with USB.
The Microsoft SideWinder Freestyle Pro.
The Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Wheel.

The Microsoft SideWinder Game Controllers Software version 3.02 also provides an update for Force Feedback devices to prevent timing delays, and installs Microsoft DirectX version 5.2 on your computer if a later version of DirectX is not installed.

This software is designed for Windows 95/98.

The Microsoft SideWinder 3D Pro Software version 1.0 is designed for the Microsoft SideWinder 3D Pro. This software should be used with Windows 3.1.

Installation

To install the Swgame30.exe file, follow these steps:

Download the file to an empty folder.

In My Computer or Windows Explorer, double-click the Swgame30.exe file you downloaded in step 1.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

To install the Sw3dpro.exe file, follow these steps:

Download the file to an empty folder named Disk1.

NOTE: If you do not place the file in a folder called Disk1, Setup does not work correctly.

In File Manager, double-click the Disk1 folder, and then double-click the Sw3dpro.exe file you downloaded in step 1 to extract the files it contains.

Double-click the Setup.exe file to install the SideWinder 3D Pro software.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
