To test the SideWinder 3D Pro for Macintosh, follow these steps:

  1. Locate and open the SideWinder 3D Pro Joystick folder, and then double-click SideWinder Game Device Editor.


  2. On the Apple menu, click About SideWinder Game Device Editor.


  3. Click Test Utility.


If the Joystick Testing Utility indicates that your joystick is not functioning properly, follow these steps:

  1. Switch your SideWinder 3D Pro to joystick mode. To do this, move the switch on the front of your SideWinder 3D Pro under the word "Microsoft" to the position with one black dot.


  2. Verify that only one SideWinder 3D Pro joystick is connected to the computer. The Microsoft SideWinder Game Device Editor software supports only one joystick at a time.


  3. Shut down the computer, and then connect your SideWinder 3D Pro to the Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) port on the computer.


  4. Disable all extensions in Extensions Manager except the SideWinder 3D Pro Extension, and then restart the computer.
