"Car Engine Idle" Force Is Not Noticeable When Testing Forces

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro, version 1.0

SYMPTOMS

When you test the Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro, the Car Engine Idle force may not be noticeable.


CAUSE

The Force Feedback setting may be set to Low.


RESOLUTION

Increase the Force Feedback setting to Medium or High. To do so, use the following steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.


  2. Double-click Game Controllers.


  3. In the Game Controllers box, click Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro, and then click Properties.


  4. Click the Settings tab.


  5. Move the Force Feedback slider to Medium or High.


  6. Click OK until you return to Windows.
